E-learning focused on finding a suitable inhaler for patients with COPD
Based on the PIFotal study, colleagues at General Practice Research Institute has developed an E-learning focused on finding a suitable inhaler for patients with COPD.
The study showed that sub-optimal peak inspiratory flow (PIF) compared to optimal PIF was associated with lower health status in patients with COPD. In addition, 13% of patients were found to be unable to inhale forcefully enough with their prescribed dry powder inhaler.
The E-learning is free of charge and the slides and spoken text are in English. Is is accredited with 1 point through the NVALT, ABC1, and the de NvvPO. Europe wide is it accredited at the EACCME (European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education). Read more https://gpri.nl/en/pifotal/.
