Asthma Right Care Key Resources
To get the conversation going between people with asthma and clinicians about Right Care for Asthma, we have various open source resources:
1. Question and challenge cards - useful for icebreakers, chats, discussion fora, social media
2. Asthma SABA Slide rule - which explores how many puffs of their short acting beta agonist (SABA) inhaler the individual is using, how this compares to the international guideline advice, and, on the reverse, explores importance and confidence to have a conversation about a review
3. A poster on how best to manage asthma/suspected asthma for use in emergency and urgent care departments
4. Reliever Reliance Test - which helps a person with asthma explore why they use the amount they use, and gives some advice on whether a change might improve their asthma. (Licence fees for the commercial use of the RRT apply)
Please contact businessmanager [at] ipcrg [dot] org for copies of the Asthma Slide Rule for sharing.
An English interactive version of the Asthma Slide Rule is available at PCRS-UK here. Other PCRS-UK Asthma Right Care resources are available here.
