iQ&A update - August 2023

The IPCRG iQ&A service has worked for 2 ½ years to provide answers to questions around COVID and related issues from front line clinical colleagues. A resource of 58 answers is now available and our latest questions are:

• What are the risk factors for severe illness with common respiratory viruses such as influenza and RSV?
• What are the risk factors for long-COVID-19 disease/post-COVID syndrome (PCS)?

These are now also being incorporated into an e-learning programme for primary care accredited by EACCME, the European accrediting body. 



The iQ&A service is now re-focusing on providing answers to other respiratory issues raised by the IPCRG Sentinel Network and updating existing answers; however, we will of course respond to any new key COVID issues that arise. The service has produced a high volume of material for use in practice. With the change of focus we will address fewer questions and look carefully to see how they fit into the wider information and education services the IPCRG provides, such as our Desktop Helpers.
