Network Update
This month we have lots of news to share about some familiar faces in the IPCRG network.
Hilary Pinnock, who will be known to many as the previous chair of IPCRG's Education Sub-Committee, has been appointed as Education Committee chair for the European Respiratory Society.
Professor Dr Ping Yein Lee has joined IPCRG's Education Sub-Committee. Ping Yein is a Professor of Family Medicine and a Consultant Family Physician. She is currently an adjunct professor at the UMeHealth Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya and has a special interest in e-Learning and eHealth.
We also welcome Dermot Ryan and Cláudia Vicente to the IPCRG board. A GP with a long-term interest in asthma, Dermot was present at the founding meeting of IPCRG and served on the Senate and as a country representative for many years. Cláudia is a family physician, coordinator of GRESP, IPCRG liaison and responsible for Asthma Right Care/CAPA Portugal.
Finally, our colleague Sundeep Salvi has been elected president of the Indian Chest Society. Sundeep is Director of the Chest Research Foundation (CRF) in Pune, India. He sits on the COPD Right Care Strategy Group and is currently leading work on this programme's Spirometry Simplified initiative.
