Teach the Teacher: Panama

IPCRG's Teach the Teacher model is an innovative educational approach in respiratory care, building international, national and local networks of primary care clinicians and educators and developing educational capacity in addition to knowledge, skills and practice for diagnosis and management of childhood asthma.

Our two-day Teach the Teacher workshop in Panama attracted 17 delegates who developed three educational proposals with a focus on remote regions utilising an asthmatic patient simulation project for trainees. The delegates' goals varied but they were motivated by a shared vision: to generate change, education and improvement in the quality of life of asthma patients in their countries.
