
Ioanna Tsiligianni
Ioanna Tsiligianni is Associate professor in General Practice and Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, University of Crete (UoC) and Director of the Health Planning Unit, Director of the Clinic of Social and Family Medicine at the UoC. She is a general practitioner who holds a Master of Public Health and Health Care Management degree, as well as two PhDs; one on interstitial lung diseases from the University of Crete, Greece and the other on health status and COPD from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. She is also the director of the master in Public Health, Primary Care and Health Care Management.
She has chaired two IPCRG world conferences, the last in 2024. She was the president of IPCRG 2018-2020. She is an active member of EURIPA, International Institute of Compassionate Care, WONCA Working Party on Rural Health, WONCA Working Party on Mental Disorders, GRIAC, ELEGEIA, EGPRN, Hellenic Oncology Research Group etc.
She is the Εditor in Chief in NPJ PCRM (Nature partner journals Primary Care Respiratory Medicine) since 2019.
She is the Chair of the IPCRG COPD Right Care Strategy Group.
Ioanna has more than 220 publications in PubMed. She has received 18 awards at international and national level.
