Breaths

New IPCRG project: Breaths

Free, bite-sized, and practical: designed for busy primary care professionals.

Breaths is a new IPCRG initiative designed to enhance primary care providers' capability, confidence, and motivation in delivering high-quality respiratory care. It leverages structured microlearning strategies tailored to the time constraints of primary healthcare professionals.

Breaths objectives

  • improve primary care capability in diagnosing and managing respiratory conditions
  • enhance confidence in providing evidence-based respiratory care
  • increase motivation by making learning accessible, engaging, and directly applicable to clinical practice
  • ensure scalability and sustainability through technology-driven microlearning modules

First edition: Breaths - asthma essentials

Each Breath (mini-course) is around five minutes, highly practical, and designed specifically for busy primary care professionals. Our goal is to support clinical decision-making and strengthen patient care, one confident step at a time.

The first three Breaths:

  • Diagnosing Asthma – strengthen clinical reasoning using spirometry and peak flow.
  • Inhaler Technique – spot common patient errors and learn how to correct them effectively.
  • Proactive asthma control – Increase confidence in assessing asthma control.

In this pilot phase, and user’s feedback is crucial. At the end of each mini-course, participants will be asked a very short question to help refine and shape future content.

You can access the first three Breaths here.
