Maya Jane Bates

Jane is a former primary care physician and academic now working in Global Health consultancy. After completion of GP training in the UK she has worked in clinical care and the academic development of primary palliative care in Malawi for 20 years.  She is an advisor to the WHO on primary care and a Fellow of Advance HE in the UK. She holds a PhD from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and has taught and written extensively from her clinical background in primary palliative care.
