Ee Ming Khoo
Honorary Prof Ee Ming Khoo is a family physician, retired from full time academic work in 2020 from Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Ee Ming was the first President of IPCRG from a middle income country (2022-2024) and brings an ambition to increase IPCRG's engagement with more countries in her region and with more low and middle income countries globally that have family medicine infrastructure and training. Her research interest is in family medicine with a special interest in respiratory medicine, including asthma, COPD and TB. She has over 100 publications and has advised the WHO on primary care services. She has received more than 9 research grants in the last 5 years. She is now the Co-PI of RESPIRE2, a £7million NIHR Global Health Research Unit on Respiratory Health (RESPIRE), The University of Edinburgh, having previously been the joint lead of the non-communicable diseases programme for RESPIRE 1. She is also a Council Member of the Academy of Family Physicians Malaysia and the Malaysian Hypertension Society, Editorial Board Member of the Malaysian Family Physician Journal, and Associate Editor of npjPCRM.
